4. Directions: How to Use

Purpose: O2® is a combination medication used to treat a wide variety of bacterial and protozoal infections, most commonly used for diarrhea or dysentery caused by mixed infections.
Mechanism: * Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves.
Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal agent that works by damaging the DNA of the parasites and anaerobic bacteria, ultimately leading to their death.
Warning: The label includes a specific caution that this drug may cause low blood sugar and mental health-related side effects.
